Business Roundtable: Depot District on March 26th

Join us for our first Business Roundtable of 2025 where consultants from Oates Associates will discuss their work with the City of Berwyn on the ADA Transition Plan.

The City of Berwyn is in the process of developing an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan for public sidewalks and curb ramps throughout the city. The ADA Transition Plan will focus on identifying sidewalk facilities that limits peoples’ abilities to navigate sidewalks and access local businesses, public transportation, and other key city assets and developing a long-range plan to improve accessibility throughout the city. The project team will be assessing every mile of city sidewalks to determine the level of compliance with applicable federal standards, but it is important they get feedback from business owners to learn how the sidewalk system is used and where barriers exist. This meeting is one part of a large effort to engage the entirety of Berwyn over the next couple of months. Additional efforts will include a public engagement survey, open houses, and one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders.
