Forest Park Bank: A 75th Anniversary Celebration and Rebranding
April 30, 2018
April 30th, Forest Park, IL -- Forest Park Bank is pleased to announce the upcoming celebration of 75 years in business. The bank will be celebrating this milestone with an event on May 15th to thank the local communities for years of support. Principal Owner and Chairman/CEO Jerry Vainisi states, "Forest Park Bank is proud to be celebrating 75 years of business. As a free-standing community bank, it is a rarity that we have continued to grow and gain strength for so many years, and that is because of the wonderful customers we are privileged to serve.”
Forest Park Bank, known as The Forest Park National Bank when it opened in 1943, has had a rich, storied history. From its beginning, the bank forged ahead through the effects of post war America and has thrived during modern day ups and downs, meeting every challenge in between.
Vainisi, whose previous career as the General Manager of the Chicago Bears is best known for leading the team to its only Super Bowl win in 1985, became owner of the Forest Park Bank in 1999. The leadership style Vainisi employed when he took the Bears to the Super Bowl is the same style that has made the bank so successful. The bank's management, staff, and client relationships are unique, and can’t be found in the banks it competes with. Growth continues to expand in surrounding communities - flourishing in the neighboring towns of Oak Park, River Forest, Berwyn, Maywood and beyond.
To mark the celebration of 75 Years in business, and to prepare for growth in the future, the bank chose Yearbook Studios as their partner to develop the vision for new branding and identity. Responsible for successful brand identities both locally and nationally, Yearbook’s campaign for the bank will be revealed on May 15th during the 75th Anniversary celebration. The event, which is being planned by Yearbook Studios and Jenny Shepherd Public Relations, will be held at the Madison Street location from 5pm - 7pm, and is open to the public. Because the celebration is a thank you to the community, several local businesses have been asked to participate in the event including O’Sullivans, Starship Subs, Shanahan’s, Jimmy’s Place, Twisted Cookie, Brown Cow Ice Cream, Exit Strategy and Famous Liquors.
