DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Independence Day with a fireworks display at J. Sterling Morton High School West Stadium\, 2400 S Home Avenue on Sunday\, July 1* starting at 8:30PM. Gates open at 7:00PM. The event is FREE thanks to the generous sponsorship of World's Largest Laundromat\, Berwyn Park District\, North Berwyn Park District\, J. Sterling Morton High School District 201\, Berwyn Firefighters Local 506 and the City of Berwyn.\n\n\n\n*Should it rain on the day of the event\, the date will be moved to July 3.\n\n\n\nMayor Lovero invites all local scouts\, soccer and baseball players to join our area veterans in the opening ceremony. They will be gathering at the north side of the football field. Children's activities will be provided by the Berwyn Recreation Department and Berwyn Public Library between 7:00PM and 8:15PM. The Morton High School band will provide music between 8:15PM and 8:30PM. The opening ceremony will take place at 8:30PM and will be followed by a 20 minute fireworks display that will be accompanied by a medley of patriotic music.\n\n\n\nPlease do not bring coolers or carry in food or beverage inside the stadium. Refreshments will be on sale by the Morton Booster Club.\n\n\n\nLastly\, just a reminder that possession of fireworks is illegal and violators may be subject to a fine up to $750.
